Hotel Parliament Budapest.

During our time in Budapest we had the pleasure of staying at the wonderful Hotel Parliament. This hotel has so much to offer and being located very close to the parliament building, it’s the ideal location for exploring the majestic city of Budapest.

The staff welcomed us and made us feel right at home, they stored our bags as we were to early to check in. Once we returned, we were given our key card and bags and had full use of this lovely hotel.

The hotel has a narrow, cosy reception area which feels less intimidating than some large open hotels we have stayed in previously. As you walk through the hotel, there is a nice bar, and down the stairs is the lovely, bright breakfast area, where we enjoyed a delicious Hungarian breakfast, which definitely set us up for the day ahead exploring the city!

It seems to be common in Budapest for the hotels to only have one elevator, we had to wait a little while to use it but if we didn’t have our bags we could have easily used the stairs, so not a real issue unless your on the top floor. It’s also a good way to burn off the extra calories you will intake eating your way around this very foody city!

The hotel has a lovely spa area for you to relax in after a chilly stroll around the city. There is also an office type area you can use if you need computer access.

The room was lovely, the bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom was modern and spacious with plenty of towels and toiletries. A nice touch was the chocolates left in the room for our arrival, they were amazing!

There wasn’t much of a view, but the windows were very large and the light was good in the room. We did have a problem with the temperature of the room but luckily we had big windows we could open when it got too hot!

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Budapest. Great location, delicious breakfast and lovely staff. It was a pleasure to stay here and I look forward to visiting in the future.
