As we headed east from Vancouver on a road trip to Medicine Hat through the Rockies, we decided to stop and get a nights rest in Kamloops before making real progress through the windy roads of Alberta the following day.
We found this gorgeous hotel on the river bank with spacious gardens and wonderful views of the sun setting in the distance.
Our room was very unique and tastefully decorated to give a relaxing homely feel through the evening with the fire lit at the end of our huge four poster bed.
We chose to eat dinner at the hotel as the dining area looked very nice and we didn’t want to have to drive out and find somewhere to eat.
Poppy had chicken stew and I had a beef roll. We were both very pleased with the quality of our meals and highly recommend eating at this hotel.
If you play golf then you will feel like you are in heaven here, with a very well maintained golf course attached to the hotel that stretches along the river bank.
Lastly we could not fault the customer service we received from the staff that work at South Thompson Inn, they made our stay that bit more enjoyable and comforting, leaving us feeling upbeat and in good spirit for the day ahead.
